The rupee was trading a tad weak at 60.19 against the dollar at 12.02 p.m. local time.The domestic unit opened a tad strong at 60.11 per dollar against the previous close of 60.18 on dollar selling by exporters and banks.
The local currency had declined to 60.33 on Friday as Brent crude was priced close to a 9-month high of $115 a barrel on increased risks of disruption of oil supply from Iraq, which is also the second largest exporter of oil to India.
Experts estimate the rupee to trade in the 59 to 61 per dollar range in the short-term.
